We provide unconditional friendship, support and practical help to people in crisis and in need. We work with children, homeless people, all adult victims of modern slavery and those dealing with drug and/or alcohol addiction

Story

The Salvation Army is resolute and strong and just as we did in the Spanish Flu pandemic, and during the bombing and the Blitz we will carry on, doing what we can to support people and communities in the ways that we can, within the Government guidelines. In true Salvation Army Spirit, our greatest strength is our flexible, responsive local presence.

In Mirfield we have expanded our foodbank which runs all year round so that we can support those who under normal circumstances wouldn't need this  help. We are supporting local school Breakfast Clubs by providing extra food and supplying tea-time snack packs.  This is in addition to providing basic food boxes as required.  We also now work in partnership with Kirklees Uniform Exchange to provide free school uniforms for families in Mirfield needing additional support.

We have a coffee morning running on Friday mornings for anyone to call in, which we feel will be vital during the months ahead when people need somewhere warm to spend a few hours of the day.

Please give what you can to enable us to help as many people as possible!
