I'm running my first half marathon to raise funds for The Human Dignity Trust.

In 69 countries around the world today, LGBTQ+ people are criminalised,  persecuted and in 11 of them killed because of who they are and who they love. They are under sustained and increasing attacks by politicians, religious leaders and other public figures and live with the daily fear of arbitrary arrests and ill-treatment, forced anal examinations, violence by state and non-state actors, imprisonment and ultimately murder.

The Human Dignity Trust exists to change this. It works in countries spanning all regions of the world with LGBTQ+ activists, lawyers, parliamentarians and government officials, to challenge or reform discriminatory laws that often date back to the colonial era.
