I have been completely overwhelmed at the amount of support and love I have received whilst I have been in hospital undergoing treatment for Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML for short). If you are like me and had no idea what AML is then take a look at this link.

On the 26th of June I sat in a Doctors office after having blood tests the day before due to feeling very unwell. Nothing quite prepared me for the whirlwind my life was about to take. Since then I have undergone 2 sets of chemotherapy, numerous bone marrow extractions, a whole pile of antibiotics and a lot of serious Dr talks. I am currently writing this on my 88th day in hospital awaiting the next step of my treatment.

In my non hospital life I am a Reception Teacher at a wonderful local school who have been incredibly supportive of me whilst I have been admitted.

I have setup this page as people have been asking if I need anything and I really don't. A lot of them then ask if they can donate money in my name so I thought I would setup a page. Leukaemia Care were one of the first charities I came across whilst in hospital and they really supported me.

I've chosen a target of £300 as this could help to fund 10 support group meetings. These support groups are a place to help reduce the sense of isolation a blood cancer diagnosis can bring.
