Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Our Head of Sixth Form at Hill House School in Doncaster, Miss Jo Chappell has decided to take on the huge challenge of the London to Paris 24h Sportive not only to raise money for a fantastic charity, but to demonstrate the resilience that we teach our pupils every day!

On the 30 April, Jo will embark on the mammoth 300km cycle from London to Paris to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust, a charity that affects many families, including us here at Hill House and we know that our pupils are keen to support this wonderful cause.

Although living with underlying health issues herself, Miss Chappell likes to challenge herself and is already enjoying the physical trials that come with training for an event such as this. In preparation, and to build fitness, stamina and endurance she has been working with a fitness coach and waking early every day before school to complete a half hour cycle session at home as well as entering into various UK cycling and running events – no easy feat on their own!

We’d be so grateful for any donations to this great cause in support of Miss Chappell’s challenge as she raises money for Teenage Cancer Trust. Follow @HillHouseSchool and @HHSSixth on twitter for updates on this fantastic adventure!!
