This year, I have had the privilege of teaching a young man named Alex. Alex is one of the most kindhearted people I’ve ever met and I have found my time with him truly inspirational. Despite his condition and the challenges it brings, Alex always has a positive outlook and a smile on his face. He works incredibly hard like many other pupils in class, but unlike many children he also has to work hard to build his mobility and independent life skills. Alex previously had a wheelchair that he could self propel meaning he could get around independently. It also meant that he could join in PE sessions  and playtimes at school with his friends, which for a young boy are invaluable experiences we generally take for granted. Alex,  like all children is growing fast and has outgrown his wheelchair so I want to raise funds to help towards replacing it. Without this wheelchair Alex is reliant on an adult to help him get around and after he has worked so hard to build his confidence and independence this would be a real set back. So, please help by donating what you can. The wheelchair will cost approx £3000 in total.
