Story

If you have downloaded my primary music resources, I would like to say a massive thank you! In return, I would really appreciate if you could provide a small donation to Ardgowan Hospice - anything you can - any donation will be greatly appreciated.

My lovely mum, Linda Fotheringham was sadly diagnosed with lung cancer in February 2018 and brain cancer in November 2018. Ardgowan Hospice provided palliative care for my mum before she passed away in May 2019. She stayed in the hospice for 65 days - as soon as she entered the hospice she felt totally serene, due to the attentive and kind nature of the staff. Unfortunately, mum declined slowly. I was in awe of the professionalism of the staff at Ardgowan. They gave mum the best possible care and ensured she had the best quality of life throughout her stay. Their kindness will never be forgotten - I cannot express my praise and gratitude enough.

I've always said that I would give as much back to Ardgowan Hospice as I can by donating, fundraising and volunteering when/where I can. I thought that suggesting donations for Ardgowan Hospice, in return for my teaching resources would be a good way to continue this!

"I truly believe my mum was the best mum in the world and I feel privileged we had such a good relationship. Linda was not just my mum, but my best friend and sister all in one. She was so nurturing, not just to me, but to many of my friends. She was so supportive and proud of all my achievements... Mum always said her main purpose in life was to teach me how to “fly the nest”. I like to think that she succeeded— she taught me invaluable skills and left a legacy that will continue throughout my life and my future children’s lives. Although our relationship was cut short, I hope mum will always be looking down on me, smiling proudly. She encouraged me to apply for primary teaching at university and all I want is to make her proud... I will love you to the moon and back always, mum." - My eulogy for my mum.
