What we are doing - 
The Haute Route provides the opportunity to ride unique roads and legendary climbs in a peloton of passionate cyclists. 
The organisation, and quality of the event means it is the closest an ordinary cyclist (like Alex and Colin and least!) can get to the professional experience. Riding from point to point with all your bags and equipment taken care of all you have to focus on is riding the bike. Having said that this is NOT an easy bike ride!
Spread over 5 days we will ride 627km (390 miles) and climb 15,700 vertical metres (51,510 ft).
That is the equivalent of nearly 2 ascents of Mount Everest.

Why Cancer Research - We decided to support Cancer Research during our Pyrenees challenge as most people have been affected either directly or indirectly by cancer in their lifetime.
Personally several of my family members have been affected by cancer including my Mum who died aged only 52.
Colin's wife works with children who have cancer helping both patients and their families on a daily basis.
Through previous sponsored events I have done I am lucky enough to receive updates from Cancer Research on their progress against the disease.
The only thing preventing them from so many breakthroughs that they are so close to is money. There is very little from Government so they are wholly reliant on charitable donations.
For that reason anything we can all do will make a massive difference to the lives of so many people.
