I've created this page because I want to help make a difference in our children’s lives and community. I'm inspired by the work of the YMCA of Greater Louisville and their community programs.

While the YMCA has multiple outreach programs there are three that are dear to my heart -

Safe Place - this program focuses on helping teenage children find temporary residential shelter due to a volatile home life. The stories that I hear are so heart wrenching that I had to become an advocate for the program. The success stories that I’ve also heard from past teenagers/young adults of this program are truly inspiring.  

Black Achievers/Youth Achievers - this program assists middle/high school students with career development and academic achievements. The YMCA provides ACT/SAT workshops, college tours, scholarships, college and career fairs. These kids are truly amazing in what they’ve personally achieved. I am blown away listening to them speak in large crowds and share their stories. Powerful messages each time.

Livestrong - this program provides 3 free months of gym memberships for cancer survivors to help rebuild strength and confidence in a supportive environment. Group therapy is also provided once a week. I’ve listened to stories of cancer survivors who have went through this program and it really changed their lives. From no exercise to running half marathons and doing things they never knew was possible.

I would love for you to help me send a child or cancer survivors to each of these programs. Donations of any value is greatly appreciated. If you are interested in making a sizable donation, there are payment options available. Monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual (This is what I do!)
