Thank you so much for taking the time to visit our Just Giving page.
On 6th January 2019 we’re taking part in a Mistletoe Memory Walk for Harry who was sadly born sleeping in January 2017. As a family we’re coming together to remember Harry, in particular to celebrate his 2nd Birthday.
We are aiming to raise money for Sands to help other families that sadly find themselves in a similar position to us in January 2017. Whilst staying in hospital we were provided with several booklets that helped us to at least attempt to digest what was happening around us and what our options were and what was going to happen next, without these we would’ve been overloaded with information and felt even more overwhelmed. In addition to this, Sands donate memory boxes to families so they can create as many memories as they wish with their little ones... although Harry’s memory box wasn’t from Sand, it is one of the most precious things we own and without it we wouldn’t have any memories of him. There are so many amazing things that Sands do and their work and support is incredible.
Any donations no matter how small will be so gratefully appreciated!
Thank you
Becca & Jake
For many families that have experienced baby loss, this time of year can be especially difficult. While nothing will stop this being an incredibly difficult time for any bereaved parent, or anyone who has been affected by baby loss, we want those families and friends to know that they are not alone and that support is available.
The money raised from Mistletoe Memories will be invaluable, especially at this time of year. It costs just £88 to provide access to Sands bereavement support resources and these are available to anyone, however long ago their baby may have died.
We are told time and time again that we are a lifeline to so many touched by baby loss; please know that we really couldn't do half of what we do without you; we rely so much on individual donations, fundraising and gifts in Wills to enable us to be there for so many families when their world comes crashing down around them and for years to come. And that is the greatest gift anyone can give at this time of year.
