Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On Saturday 11th September we will be taking part in a dragon boat race at Bewl Water Reservoir. We will be part of a team of parents from Headcorn School who will be attempting to beat all-comers at the Dragon Boat Festival. A crew of 16 paddlers (plus a drummer) will be attempting to row in a Chinese-style Dragon Boat over a 250 metre course. We will be doing this at least 3 times - more if we get through the qualifying stages!!This is something neither of us have ever done before, and the best bit is that no-one else in the team has either!! Bewl Water is very deep and very cold, so if the exertion of the races don't get us, the murky depths may well - and it's forecast for rain too!!

However, in the vain hope that we may make it through unscathed, we are asking all our family, friends and colleagues to sponsor us and thereby help us raise money for the Headcorn School PTFA who support the school in so many ways.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please sponsor us and see us suffer the consequences!!

Many Thanks (we think!)
