This ride is for hope.
Family is important to me, as it is to so many others. Yet cancer can hurt family with no warning or care. It doesn’t discriminate, but rather engulfs whomever it wants. With this ride, we prove again and again that we are stronger than cancer, we are united, and that our bonds cannot be broken. I ride for my family.

This ride is for knowledge.
The journey continues every day. There are doctors and scientists who have spent their lives working to end cancer, and this ride allows me to support them in the best way I can. I’m not a biology major. Medicine isn’t my calling. But I can help educate people, share stories, explain prevention methods, and so much more. I ride for those supporting others. I ride for those on this journey themselves.

This ride is for charity.
Texas 4000 has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember because of the sponsors who support this mission. So many organizations, and the individuals who are part of them, give so much of themselves to Texas 4000, and they are beyond determined to make a difference in any way they can. I ride for those who give.

This ride is for them.
Every part of this journey is for someone dealing with cancer, whether directly or indirectly. I ride for the people closest to me who inspire me every day, for the people who remain forces of nature through everything life throws at them. I ride for the people who have dealt with the disease, no matter the outcome. Everyone has a story to tell, and every story is different. I ride for every person who is willing to let me carry their dedication with me to Alaska.
