We raise funds for a better hospital to help local people when they need it most

Story

A team of four Conservative Councillors will take on 72 Holes of Golf - more than 22 miles of walking - in one day in aid of the new Cancer Unit appeal from the Milton Keynes Hospital Charity.

The golfing heroes are Cllrs... Allan Rankine (Bletchley Park) Andrew Buckley (Monkston) Hiten Ganatra (Shenley Brook End) and Alex Walker (Stantonbury).

The day is inspired by the Macmillan Longest Day Golf Challenge to help people affected by cancer.

Milton Keynes University Hospital (MKUH) have launched plans to build a Cancer Unit in 2019. Funding is coming in from a number of streams such as the Macmillan and MK Council but fundraising projects are vital to ensure the unit becomes a reality.

All the Councillors taking part have worked closely with MKUH or had a personal experience with the outstanding care it delivers.

Please give generously. Updates will be posted regularly... including the tired, sweaty pictures at the end of the day on 13th July!

About the charity

We raise funds for all wards and departments at Milton Keynes University Hospital, enhancing the experience of patients, their families and staff. All the money raised funds items over and above NHS provision. By supporting us you can make a real difference to local people when they need it most.
