Ramadan Iftar for Yemen and Syria

Strive Ramadan iftar · 30 April 2022
Feed a family in Yemen and Syria this Ramadan by providing them with iftar and suhoor. The Prophet (saw) said, ‘Whoever feeds a person breaking his fast will earn the same reward as him, without anything being lessened from the reward of the fasting person’. [Tirmidhi] Over seven years ago, conflict broke out in Yemen. Today, 10 million Yemenis are one step away from starvation. Families will have thought that life could not get harder, but each year the crisis deepened, and, today, they face malnutrition, cholera, dirty water, and COVID-19, all while the conflict continues. This year, the UN declared that Yemen is facing the worst humanitarian crisis in the world. This year, humanitarian need has increased by 27 per cent. As winter arrives, displaced families are being forgotten, left to survive in temporary shelters that don’t protect them from frost, sub-zero temperatures, and heavy rainfall. “Whoever removes a grief from a believer from amongst the sorrows of this life, Allah will remove a grief from him amongst the sorrows of the Day of Resurrection” (Muslim) 94% of Syrian refugees in Lebanon don’t have enough food to eat. Help us to fight malnutrition by providing regular bread deliveries to the most vulnerable families this winter. The iftar & Suhoor food pack cost: Yemen £75 Syrian refugees £60 This includes very basic ingredients like wheat flour, beans, oil, rice, sugar, dates, salt, etc. Help us feed at least 100 families. Please multiply your OWN reward by sharing this page on this blessed day!
