Mongol Rally 2013 · 13 July 2013 to 24 August 2013 ·

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

We will drive a small, under-powered car (better-suited to grannies and first-time drivers) 10,000 miles over some of the world’s toughest terrain from London to Mongolia via any means to raise money for two very worthwhile charities. This is called the Mongol Rally and it is considered one of the toughest adventures on the planet.

One of the charities we're raising money for is Parkinson’s UK, which is not only a very successful research orientated organisation, but who's support network has proven invaluable to sufferers and is well worth backing on its own merits.

Here are just a few examples of how your support can make a difference for people with Parkinson's.

  • £2 is enough to pay for the DVD 'Being There' to be sent to someone recently diagnosed with Parkinson's.
  • £26 could pay for one of their nurses to answer calls on their helpline for an hour.
  • £150 is enough to fund a Parkinson's nurse for a day, meaning that they can provide specialist care for people with the condition.
  • £1,000 could fund a cutting edge research project for a week.

When you raise funds for Parkinson’s UK, you can rest assured that they will spend your money wisely. The best way for them to fund the range of work that they do is to receive donations that they can spend where they need to, when they need to.

So please dig deep and donate now.
