Story

The Southampton and Winchester District Group of the MND Association has the sole aim of serving all those in the area who are living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), their carers, family and friends.

The Group has a team of trained Association Visitors who offer a befriending role, providing support, information, and an ongoing link with Association to people living with MND.

We can provide practical support in the form of liaison with health and social care professionals, such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and the medical profession. And we can provide specialist equipment to improve the quality of life of all those affected by the disease.

We also hold regular support meetings for people living with MND and their carers, families and friends. These provide an excellent opportunity to meet with other people living with the disease, and to share experience and ideas.

We rely almost entirely on voluntary donations and the generosity of the general public - every donation makes a difference to a person living with MND.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.  The money you donate will make a difference to people living with MND, their families and carers in the Southampton and Winchester District area. Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer so it’s the most efficient way to donate.
