Naomi House Children's Hospice - Clarendon Way Walk · 7 June 2009 ·
Hello friends and family
We did it!!
Despite a terrible forecast of heavy rain we had the most divine weather, cool breeze, clouds and sun and excellent visibility.
The scenery was superb, in particular the first half west of Winchester. I'm not sure if the second half was quite so well observed as we were concentrating on our feet a little more... The route was on footpaths and is called the Clarendon Way which connects the ancient cities of Winchester and Salisbury.
We finished in about 8 hours which was better than we had hoped considering our complete lack of preparation and at Salisbury cathedral there was tea laid on for us in a beautiful garden.
It was well worth the effort and thanks to your sponsorship on and off line we have more than doubled our fundraising target.
James is nursing a sore knee and I'm nursing a sore big toe, but it was well worth it. Maybe see you there next year?
Mindy and James xx
