PAKISTAN FLOODS EMERGENCY
The recent flooding has wreaked havoc across Pakistan with 33 million people displaced and over 1,000 people dead, including over 340 children. Help Human Appeal deliver hot meals, hygiene kits and other emergency assistance.
“The believers in their mutual kindness, compassion and sympathy are just like one body. When any part suffers, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever.” (Bukhari, Muslim)
£50 - provides a hot nutritious meal, served daily to 20 flood affected people
£40 - supplies a family with essential hygiene and household items to protect against disease, including anti-bacterial soap, tooth brushes, toothpaste, nail cutters, hair combs, towels, tarpaulin sheets, plastic mats, buckets and water bottles
The most affected have been the regions of Balochistan, Sindh, KPK, and Punjab where almost 1 million homes and more than 145 bridges have been damaged or destroyed. The devastation is beyond catastrophic with more rains expected.
Human Appeal are working with our partners and teams on the ground to assess how best to support families and villages, not only in the immediate aftermath, but going forwards too.
