Cash for Kids is a grant-giving charity, supporting young lives from birth to 18. Our mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across Greater Manchester who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs.

Story

We need your help!

Every Year Nearly 600 of Manchester’s children will be admitted to the Critical Care unit at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. Many of these children will need a CT Scan to help Doctors treat them.

At the moment this scanner is located in the X Ray department.

Some children are just too poorly to move and Doctors have to treat them without the best information possible.

Children that can be moved need up to 6 doctors and nurses to move them for the scan and this experience can be traumatic for both the parent and child.

A mobile Scanner is now available removing the risk and stress of moving a very poorly child.

The hospital needs £80,000 to purchase this equipment and we want to help.

On Monday 23rd May Key 103 will launch an appeal and on Friday 27th May we are asking listeners to fundraise for this appeal.

Can you help?

A dress down day, Cake Bake, sponsored silence – there are so many simple ways to make a big difference.

If you register your school or workplace, you could  win a visit from the Breakfast Team on Friday 27th May when they will be travelling across Greater Manchester meeting Schools and businesses raising funds for the appeal.

Thank You
