Yorkshire Children’s Charity transform childhoods to make things better for the thousands of disadvantaged children in our region. Their aim is to make sure no child or young person in Yorkshire is left behind due to ill health, disability, or financial circumstance.
The National Three Peaks 24 hour challenge covers the three tallest mountains in the United Kingdom. The challenge starts at 08.30am on Friday 17th June at the base of Ben Nevis, the biggest climb of the day at 1,345m! Once completed the team will go on to Scafell Pike in the Lake District to scale the 978m high mountain in the dark, armed with their headtorches. Finally, once Scafell Pike has been tackled, the team will go across to Snowdon for their final summit at 1,085m, to be completed before 08.30am on Saturday 18th June.
Altogether, the team will be covering a total of 26 miles/42km miles
and 9,843ft/3000m of ascent in just 24 hours – it’s fair to say everyone will be looking forward to some sleep once completed!
Moda is taking on the National Three Peaks 24 hour challenge in aid of Yorkshire Children's Charity. The team is made up of: Jess Hartley, Lydia Whitaker, Chris Trunkfield, Alice Hannaway, Paul Holcroft, Carl Wood, Anthony Lowe, Andrew Parker, Austin Judson, Richard Smith, Tim McDonald and Tom Bradley.
