The walk is a charity fundraising event organised by Engineers for Change (Sierra Leone) in partnership with the Fourah Bay College Alumni Association to jointly raise £15k to. set-up a video-conference facility at a suitable venue at Fourah Bay College for students and staff to access video conferencing and to. continue the programme from 2017 to purchase of laboratory equipment for the Mechanical Engineering department at the University and the Freetown Technical Institute (we raised £4k in 2017 towards this). The charities will use a small percentage of the funds raised to cover their administrative costs.
