This is the first time that I have ever campaigned for charity. Given the Lockdown situation, it is clear that many mosques are not raising funds as usual. Green Lane Masjid is a mosque that is very close to my heart. They do a lot for the community and they are great ambassadors of Islam. My initial target was £500, but due to already reaching this with the help of everyone alhamdulilah, I have increased the target to £1000.

We are in BEST month in which the BEST angel revealed the BEST scripture to the BEST man in the BEST city in the BEST night. What ever you can donate to the BEST of your ability will be much appreciated. JazakAllah Khair. 

During Ramadan, Green Lane Masjid would normally expect to raise £30,000 in the first 10 days of Ramadan.This year, however, is unlike any other year we have ever faced since the Masjid first opened its doors to you and your families. The funds that we need are vital in supporting our community and the work that we do throughout the year. We must raise these funds urgently if we are to continue in our Dawah, Welfare and Youth Services and all that we have struggled to build over the past 40 years.Narrated Ibn Abbas: The Prophet (saw) was the most generous person, and he used to become more so (generous) particularly in the month of Ramadan more generous than the fast wind in doing good [Bukhari].
