Ebrahim College - Makka Twin Peaks Summer 2009 · 3 August 2009 ·

Ebrahim College was established in 2003 as a Darul Uloom style seminary appropriate for the modern world. The aim was to benefit from the rigour and credibility of the traditional Darul Uloom and, where it was deemed beneficial, merge it with the best in modern curriculum development, pedagogy, technology and research.

Story

Assalamualikum

My dearest brother's, sister's and loved ones, thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. As most of you who already know me will have probably realized by now that I am a man who wears his 'heart on his sleeve' and tends to do things pretty spontaneously. The last few months have been very turbulent and challenging, with life throwing me many curved balls (all which come from Allah) and I feel as though I am being put through a major test of patience.

I have been contemplating on doing several things however for some reason or another I just did not feel that any of my ideas where going to satisfy this feeling of contentment that I am looking for. Recently a close friend approached me and told me about an event called the 'Twin Peaks Challenge' which involves climbing two mountains in Saudi Arabia, Makka (Mount Noor and Mount Thawr) and also having the opportunity to perform Umrah whilst I'm out there. The decision came to me instantly and Subhanallah by Allah's invitation I am leaving on the 31st of July 09.

The event has been organized by Ebrahim college which I am raising money for as part of the expedition. I recently went and met some of the scholars who run the college and Mashaallah may Allah bless them with reward that they fully deserve as they are doing a fantastic job in educating young muslims. I know times are hard at the moment with the current financial economy but  I would humbly like to ask you to donate to this charity as Allah loves those who spend in His path, and remember that Allah will never decrease your wealth when you give in charity. Ameen.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
