Hi! Thank you for taking the time out to visit my fundraising page :)

We have heard so much about the refugee crisis over the past few months, people who are fleeing war and oppression in search of hope and safety. 6000 [1] people now live in the Calais Camp. These people are being let down by governments in their home and host nations, but we can help restore hope and normality to their lives.

It is important to remember that no-one has left their homes willingly, rather the freedom and safety we take for granted has been snatched from these people who are now struggling to survive in camps with an uncertain future ahead. 

Children, mothers, fathers, students; people not so different from you and I who have been forced out of their normal lives into a nightmare.

Each donation regardless of the amount makes a huge difference to the people in these camps, easing the uncertainty of each passing day. Consider all the things we take for granted in life, taken away in the blink of an eye; this doesn't come close to their suffering, but we can help and give them hope.

The money you donate will go directly to the Human Relief Foundation who will purchase and distribute basic necessities for the refugees: clean water, food, clothing, sanitation and medicines, shelter.
