Kilimanjaro · 18 September 2018
On 18th September I will start climbing Mount Kilimanjaro (OMG). Kilimanjaro is the tallest free standing mountain in Africa, it is nearly 6000 meters tall (5895 meters to be precise) that is over 19000 feet. Frankly I am not a mountaineer and have never done anything like this (madness as some of my friends suggest) before.
But this is all for a good cause
I am climbing to support Help Smile Trust (HST). HST is a small charity that provides medical aid through surgery camps and direct financial assistance to other small charities that do great work in disadvantaged areas in India and Africa. HST's work is carried out by volunteers, that means all the money raised is spent towards identified causes. Apart from its on going commitments HST has exciting new plans to extend its activities to include providing support to local community in Hertfordshire.
So .....
I will do my best to go all the way to Uhuru peak, the highest summit on Mount Kilimanjaro. Your support and encouragement is important and I thank you for the same.
