Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatahu.

Recently, I came across this organisation called Solace group for revert sisters and attended a fundraising event. The stories I heard about the difficulties that reverts go through especially the sisters, are horrifying. 

Islam is a gift that many of us who are born as muslims take for granted. Since I came back from the event, I hadstarted to wonder what one of my ancestors had to go through to say "La ilaha illa Allah", to leave the ways of their family and society and step out of the comfort  and do the hijrah towards Islam. I cannot even begin to imagine how lonely and scary that path would have been. But they took that step for Allah swt and it was their one decision that may have changed everything for them in their life so that one day, down the line, someone like me could just be born in a muslim family, alhumdulillah blessed with many opportunities to live and practice Islam much easily. 

Alhumdulillah that this world makes sense with all its pain and struggles only because of Islam. Without this faith, we are lost and in darkness. But my dear brothers and sisters who are reading this, there are many people who are desperate and in need of support of every kind. They have found that Light, the Guidance - they have found Allah swt finally but as most of you know the journey is hard from there. Solace is a group that is working to support the revert muslim sisters (especially) who have been abandoned and rejected by their families after accepting Islam. These women already need a lot of emotional and mental support during the early days of their  acceptance of Islam but also have many financial difficulties. 

The least we can do is make dua for our revert brothers and sisters but I also request you all to donate whatever you can. Nothing is little in the sight of Allah swt and every drop of this donation will help Solace group sustain the work they are putting in to support these reverts.
