Twenty four hours and a thousand miles of biking between us, Moira and Tash are absoltely exhausted but very, very chuffed.
Tash was a complete star; riding some of the hairiest roads of the trip, still keeping going in the cold and dark after twelve hours, and still smiling when she arrived at Inverness.
I found previously unknown reserves of energy, which, helped by the occasional can of Go Fast, kept me going through the night.
The highs? Setting off from Inverness at midnight under a full moon and watching the partial eclipse en route to Fraserburgh; Joyce's broccoli soup at 6am; the reception party at Berwick.
The lows? Three, or was it four, in the morning at Fraserburgh and having to get back on the bike; the cold air above Aberdeen; my aching body at the end of it all!
Thanks to everyone for their support - financial, spiritual and practical - we couldn't have done it without you.
And thanks to Sparky the Wonderbike, who truly lived up to his name.
