Story

Wahey! You're here again, looking at what dumb thing I'm attempting now to raise money for charity.

Well this time it's go big or go home! October is my birthday month, and also Breast Cancer Awareness Month. As most of you know, I was diagnosed with stage 3, grade 3 breast cancer in August of 2015. My cancer is currently in remission but I am taking medication for the next 8 years to try and keep it that way. F you cancer!

I was 32 when diagnosed and you would have thought, given my mum died of breast cancer, that I would have caught my cancer earlier. You'd think I'd have been all over that breast checking malarkey like a motherf***ing snake on a motherf***ing plane, but no. Thought i was too young did I! Foolish young Skywalker.

So I'm going pink for the whole of Pinktober to raise awareness that everyone should be checking, especially those under 40 who think they are too young to worry about it. Also to raise money for Macmillan, who saved my life financially and made me comforting cups of tea when the stress of life around treatment was too much on top of dealing with treatment.

On my Mojo Jones Instagram, Facebook Page and Twitter I will be posting a different pink photoshoot every day throughout October. That's 31 new looks ranging from cosplays, burlesque, latex and total nonsense shot by some wonderful photographers that have volunteered their time for this cause.

I will also be wearing pink 24/7! My normal grunge goth wardrobe has been replaced with every shade of pink from pastel to neon, from blush to magenta and I am going to look so damn extra.

My housemate Landstar Cosplay has also volunteered to dye his hair PINK for the whole month.

Pinktober will culminate on Hallowe'en Night with a Twitch Hallowe'en party where I will be dressed in my best spooky pink ensemble. I will also be turning the aforementioned Landstar Cosplay into Trixie Mattel(a drag queen) before he shaves his head live! Special guests TBC will also join in for the Pink celebrations.

So if this monumental task of making and shooting 31 looks, living a pink life and streaming some shenanigans tickles you pink(see what I did there) then please donate and help people living with cancer.

Much love
