Sadaqah Jaariyah for Mokrom Ali (Motin)

AssalamuAlaikum, 

It is with great sadness we announce that our beloved father, Mokrom Ali (Motin) has returned to His Creator. He passed away on the 12/02/2023. May Allah grant him the highest level of Jannah and continue to give our family sabr and peace.

Many of you know our father as extremely loving to everyone, for his humour, warmth and  affection. 

We are raising money as sadaqah jariyah (continuous charity) for two of dad's favourite causes: curing blindness, and clean water. 80% of blindness is treatable or curable. We hope to return people's sight and provide clean water to the people of Bangladesh, in the name of our father, to thank him for the fulfilling lives he gave us. 

He was among the first people to help establish a Muslim/South Asian community in Swansea, and many people in our community tell stories of how he supported them, and had a powerful impact on their lives. 

His character is an inspiring one, and he has left a legacy. 

Help us thank him by supporting causes close to his heart, which we believe will continue to bring his soul peace. 

The Prophet (SAW) was reported to have said, “When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (a continuous charity) or knowledge from which benefit is gained, or a righteous child who prays for him.”
