Headway Somerset is a unique organisation helping people to live as independent a life as possible after brain injury, providing specialist support and therapy at its 3 Brain Injury Outreach Units. It provides essential respite care for family members who may end up being full-time unpaid carers.

Story

On September 30th I will be walking a 60 mile Kent coastal walk in 3 days to raise money for the charity Headway. I will be walking from Dungeness to Ramsgate and camping each night.

Headway helps to improve life after brain injury by providing vital support for individuals and their family’s. This is in memory of my Dad, who sadly passed away last July as a result of a motorcycle accident. Had the circumstances been different this would of been a charity that could of provided help and support for him

My Dad lived life to the fullest and dedicated his time to helping better the lives of others. He did this through social care work, volunteering in India with children who have complex learning difficulties, and his time as a blood bike rider for the NHS. He was a gentle giant with a heart of gold

Any donation no matter how small would mean so much for an amazing cause

Thank you

Xx
