I'm taking part in Step up for 30 to raise money for Bowel Cancer UK and awareness of bowel cancer. 

Something I didn’t know anything about until my momma was recently diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer. This has unfortunately spread to the liver, cervix and uterus. Due to the size of the growth in her bowel (approx 15cm in circumference!!!!) we think she has been living with it for quite some time. She has just started chemo which is great as this is the first step to feeling better. 

I want to raise awareness and share her story and symptoms etc so other people can spot this earlier.  

We are staying positive - we’ve named her growth Gertrude and my mum is the strongest woman I’ve ever met. So proud of her for the way she’s fighting this!!! So this is for her, everyone else diagnosed with any stage of bowel cancer or for anyone that has lost someone to the disease.
