Emerging Influencers is a six-week leadership programme for 16-23-year-olds. This community of young adults are raising money for Tearfund's life saving work in helping people to lift themselves out of poverty. We are raising funds to help our global neighbours who are facing extreme poverty and those who have been thrust into poverty due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

 Our team are going to be doing various activities; from the 27th of June until the 3rd of July. We will be attempting to walk 7 miles each day for this week. 

These miles (approximately) represent the distance a woman has to walk each day to retrieve water for her family, in Ethiopia. This has resulted in a lack of education for these girls and it has increased their vulnerability. Tearfund support stories like these in various ways by building water pumps near schools and other amazing ways. 

Therefore I am fundraising for the organisation to support them. By sponsoring or joining in, you will be impacting the lives of those who need support.
