Story
On April 12th 2026, I will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in memory of my grandma Amabel, who recently passed from dementia. Losing her has been incredibly painful, she was the matriarch of our family and meant so much to every person she knew.
As most of my friends and family know, I’m not a natural runner… and although this challenge has felt quite daunting, and there will definitely be tough training days ahead. Knowing that every mile is for her, her life, and her memory, makes every meter worth it.
I’m raising money for Dementia UK because of the amazing work they do to support families who are going through what mine had, their work is truly invaluable. If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean the world to me.
Thank you for reading and helping me honour her memory.
