We are working with rare and lesser known cancer charities to raise awareness and tackle the impact of Covid-19, together. Cancer Doesn't Stop For Covid. Early diagnosis is the key to better outcomes for patients.

Story

In January 2023 , our lives were turned upside down when my sister, Molly (26), was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma. Due to the rarity of this cancer, there is a lack of funding, awareness and research. Therefore, long term outcomes for those living with Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma are poor.

This year we are completing a number of challenges in aid of Salivary Gland Cancer UK. A UK based charity set up to support those living with Salivary Gland cancers such a Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma.

We have many challenges planned. Team Molly have already smashed the Sheffield Half Marathon and the Sheffield 10K. Over 100 people ran on behalf of Team Molly for the Sheffield 10K in a sea of blue and purple SGCUK T-shirt’s.

Upcoming fundraising events include York Marathon, York 10 miles, Percy Pud 10K and many personal challenges set by Mollys friends, family and work colleagues.

Molly’s friends and colleagues from Shakespeare Martineau will be taking on the Three Peaks Challenge next year. This will be gruelling challenge and all donations will help spur them on.

All of your generous donations have already funded a research grant for SGCUK, which is amazing and shows how these donations really do help (especially for a small charity such as SGCUK).

If you want to join Team Molly and be part of an amazing cause with plenty of fundraising to come, please get in touch it would be hugely appreciated. One of our biggest aims is to raise awareness of these rare and incurable cancers.

We would be immensely grateful for any donations so please give anything you can to help to support our efforts.

Alicia , Molly and Family xx
