Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) is a charity set up in 1990 by people sick of seeing the ocean they love polluted. We campaign to protect the ocean and all it makes possible, by taking action on the ground that triggers change from the top. We're calling for an end to sewage and plastic pollution.

Story

Two years ago I followed French long distance swimmer Ben Lecomte on his great vortex swim.

He and his team spend days crossing and filming in the Great Pacific Garbage patch, a plastic polluted area with an estimated size between the size of Texas and Russia.

While we can't fix this patch, Surfers against Sewage fights to protect British waters, improve quality, educate and clean up.

Please help their vital work and their fight for marine life.

Thank you!
