CALM Does Snowdon at Night 2023 · 22 July 2023 ·

We provide suicide prevention resources to help prevent suicide in the UK

Story

Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is leading a movement against suicide. Every week 125 people in the UK take their own lives. And 75% of all UK suicides are male. CALM exists to change this by offering life-saving services, provoking conversation and bringing people together to reject living miserably. From advice on our site, to free, confidential chats with our helpline staff, online or on the phone, we’re here for whoever needs us, every day. No matter what. £8 is enough to fund one potentially life-saving call.

On July 22nd, my colleagues and I will participate in the Snowdon Night hike in Snowdonia National Park. This challenging trek entails an 8-hour journey covering 21km, commencing at 11:45 pm, aiming to complete it by 7-8 am on Sunday, July 23rd.

Im taking part in this challenge to raise funds for CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably), an exceptional suicide prevention charity committed to providing life-saving services and promoting mental health awareness. Each week 125 lives are lost to suicide in the UK, 75% of those being men.

I'm reaching out to ask for your support. Any amount you can offer can make a difference. An £8 donation can contribute to funding a potentially life-saving call.

Thank you very much for your help with this cause!
