Our team 'Abbeydale Moonshine' is competing in this years Magellan 3 Peaks Yacht Race. The race combines running and sailing into one of the UK's greatest adventure racing events. We will be sailing from Barmouth on the Welsh coast to Fort William in Scotland, via Caernarfon and Whitehaven, with Tim and Colin running to the summits of Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis on the way.
In total this is 389 miles of difficult coastal sailing, 18 miles of cycling and 72 miles of running, with 14,000 feet of ascent to reach the highest points in Wales, England and Scotland.
Apart from the obvious personal challenge we are aiming to raise as much money for our chosen charity, The National Osteoporosis Society. We have chosen to challenge ourselves in this event, but people living with osteoporisis face painful challenges every day of their life.
