EDIT. Sensible people (our children) have pointed out that doing such a ride during an extreme heat warning is just wrong. So it will now happen in August. But don’t panic. It is still happening and we still need your money :-)

Over the years I've organised occasional bike rides to raise money for various causes. The first one was 40 miles but, to be honest, it seemed almost easy so we upped it to 50 for the next one. That was quite a few years ago and now 50 may be too long but we'll give it a go and see how we get on.

This year I'm asking for donations to my own church. It needs it! It stands quietly (except Friday nights) on the corner of the village offending no one and asking for nothing. But without money it's cold in winter and there's a place where the rain gets in. And the volunteers who cut the grass still need petrol for the mowers. And candles for the altar, not to mention hundreds of oranges for the Christingle services. And don't forget we need to pay for licences to play music, and fire safety certificates and boiler certificates. So many things that can't be done without money. So please, if you can, donate a few pennies and give me the oomph I need to get to the end of the ride. Thank you.
