Cycling 140km in Velothon Wales for ASSERT

VELOTHON Wales 2018 · 8 July 2018 ·
I am signed up to take part in the Velothon 140km in South Wales, covering Cardiff, Newport, Usk, Abergavenny, Blaenavon, Pontypool, Caerphilly, and Back to Cardiff.
I have chosen ASSERT (Angelman Syndrome Support Education & Support Trust) as my charity because they have supported our family since the birth of my younger brother Joseph, who was born with Angelman Syndrome.
For friends of the family, you will be aware of the way it affects Joseph. Some of the complications he suffers are not being able to communicate, suffering epilepsy, and unable to walk without any form of assistance to help him balance.
It is very complex and can vary widely across all case. ASSERT supply the help families unfamiliar with the condition need to ensure all children born with it can be given a happy family life.
