Story

Hi everyone!

I am sure most of the people reading this know who I am but in case you don't, my name is Morgan Kendall, I am 16 years old and a keen runner. Running has been one of my biggest passions for a few years now and I always like to have a goal, whether it be a new PB or a milestone.

My plan was to run a half marathon on my 17th birthday. However, that was cancelled due to COVID-19. As an alternative, I plan to run the RunFest Rhyl half marathon, on my Dad's birthday, on 21st June. My Dad passed away from cancer when I was just 12 years old, so therefore I will be raising funds for Cancer Research UK during this half marathon adventure.

My goal for the half marathon is sub 1hr 30mins, which was previously 1hr 35mins due to recent pace improvements and fitness improvements.

I am also running with a family friend, Rob Mandley, who has a similar experience with cancer to me and he is also determined to do this half marathon

Donating will be a huge help to anyone suffering cancer and for anybody in the future also suffering and every donation will make me work and train harder, to do this for him

If you can't afford to contribute don't worry. Instead, share this so others can potentially donate and help

Thanks all :)

- Morgan
