Story
Please join me and my fellow Salters' as we take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on Saturday, 5 June to raise money for YoungMinds.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is to complete a 24 mile (38.6km) circular route which includes ascending and descending the three highest peaks in Yorkshire, Pen-y-ghent (694 metres), Whernside (736 metres) and Ingleborough (723 metres) (total ascent 1585 metres/5200 ft), in under 12 hours and clearly with no substantial breaks.
A study completed by YoungMinds in January this year found 67% of young people aged 13-25 believed that the pandemic will have a long-term negative effect on their mental health. It is clearly an incredibly important time to support the mental health of young people and hence any donations would be very welcomed.
My personal target is to raise £1000.
YoungMinds is the UK's leading charity championing the wellbeing and mental health of children and young people. Driven by their experience, YoungMinds creates change so that children and young people can cope with life's adversities, find help when needed and succeed in life.
