This year it's 10 years since we lost Mum & Dad, and I wanted to mark this occasion by doing something out of the ordinary. I think you'll agree that me running anywhere, let alone 10K, is pretty extra-ordinary.

The charity I've chosen in The Christie, as they've helped us out personally over the last year and so I want to give back something in thanks for their help.

I've roped Sam in too - he can help carry me across the line!
