The Morris Meander · 6 January 2009

The Dance Scholarship Trust was established in 1988 to support the Scholarship programme organised by the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB). Named in honour of Monica Dance, Secretary of SPAB for many years, the Trust funds educational programmes that protect built heritage.

Story

Welcome to the Dance Scholarship Trust Committee's fundraising page!

To make up for the shortfall in the Trust's finances as a result of the difficult economic conditions in 2008 the DST committee members have decided to undertake a sponsored walk.

The committee members will be walking between
Kelmscott (Hammersmith) and Kelmscott (Oxfordshire), a distance of 136 miles, along the banks of the Thames following in the footsteps of SPAB founder, William Morris.  The journey will be completed by two teams starting at each end and meeting in the middle after three days of walking.  Each team will cover around 68 miles.  Your donation will help to support the 2009 SPAB Scholars so please sponsor us now!
