The past few years have been a bit wild, and as a result, the way we function has changed. I don't think I've spoken to a single person that hasn't been negatively impacted in some way, shape or form since the beginning of the pandemic. Along with the struggles of illness, job losses and isolation, the pandemic exposed devastating racial, social and economic inequities.
I'm running the London Marathon for Mind because the work they do is so important, they're fighting the issue at the source through many of their campaigns. In the most recent review of their services, it was disclosed that their mental health information was accessed 20.7 million times in 2020/2021, this just goes to show how well used and important their services are.
I know that what seems like a mammoth task to me, is really just a drop in the ocean but the more we can fundraise and the more we can give, the more we can help.
Life gets heavy sometimes, but you just have to remember that no matter how alone you may feel, you never are.
