Daly Does A Half Marathon

City of Norwich Half Marathon 2018 · 15 April 2018 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Having only started running at the end of August with the goal of being able to run 5K in mind, it was pretty amazing to me when I accomplished it, started to really love running and wanted to go further. My aims of this challenge is to solidify running as a part of my life (because in terms of my mental health and daily life it has been a hugely positive force), see if I can kick smoking, take on the biggest physical - and, most likely, mental - challenge of my life to date and raise some money for a rad organisation. So, not much really.
MSF are a brilliant organisation who are committed to providing medical aid to those affected by conflict, natural disaster, epidemics and other forms of crisis. Their doctors are on the frontline of these horrendous scenes and go about helping those affected, regardless of their nationality or political or religious beliefs. They are also activists who speak out in the face of atrocities they bear witness to and will critique the practices of other providers of humanitarian aid who work in a space of "silent diplomacy". Basically, they are right on and I'd love to raise some money for them over the next few months of sweating profusely, craving cigarettes & terrible food and stomping the pavement in disgusting weather.
If you've read this far, then congratulations on being able to wade through that! Any little donation would be amazing motivation for me - thanks so much.
