Story
The George Oliver Foundation is a charity close to my family's heart. It was set up in 2010 by Mark and Emily Oliver in memory of their son George. Since then the Foundation has raised £100,000s for children's charities around the world. It is 100% voluntarily run which means all funds raised go direct to the charities.
In 2021 The George Oliver Foundation has funded new medical diagnostic equipment for All Ears Cambodia and a new solar water pump for Kunyanja School in Malawi with Masambiro UK. It has also funded a new "Safespace" bed for Helen & Douglas House Children's Hospice and specialist counselling for bereaved children with Grief Encounter. These charities are doing vital work to help children and young people.
I started running for the first time a year ago, cheered on by my children and grandchildren. Hiba challenged me to start running, Jad inspired me with his own marathon and Roy and Leila and my grandchildren are my biggest supporters. I've just turned 61 and am proud to have got this far!
Thank you for supporting this wonderful charity.
