Please help us to protect our ancient forests, elephants important wildlife species on Mount Kenya! The elephant poaching crisis, bushmeat poaching, hardwood logging, charcoal production and fires are some of the biggest threats to our forest habitats and wildlife.

Mount Kenya is a vitally important water tower providing ecosystem services to millions of people and businesses in Kenya making it the heart and lungs of the country. The Mount Kenya Trust was set up to help protect and restore the integrity of the rich biodiversity of Mount Kenya in partnership with public and private organisations.

What we do

The Trust has a holistic and practical approach to conservation. We stem illegal activity, educate young people and restore degraded areas of the National Reserve. We  put local communities at the center of our all projects and rely on good communication and partnerships to achieve our work.
