Food Parcels
Campaign by Orphans In Need (RCN 1144812)
Bring hope to a widow and her orphaned children this Ramadan, by donating just £30 to provide a food parcel to feed them through the blessed month.

Story

On the 17th of August 2019, myself and my friend will be climbing 2600ft up Mount Snowdon in Wales, a 5.5km trek. The money raised will go towards supporting the provision of basic necessities such as education, healthcare and shelter for over 20,000 orphaned children in over 14 countries such as Palestine, Bangladesh, Somalia and many others. Every child deserves these basics which we take for granted, and this is our opportunity to directly help and support them.

Worldwide there is an estimated 153 Million orphans, with around 5,700 children becoming orphans every day. Orphans in Need run many campaigns, one great example includes an orphan village in India, home to 300 orphans of all ages from newborns to teenagers. The village is greatly supportive to orphans however running the shelter relies on our donations. The campaign stood out to us as education is the heart of this campaign. Every child deserves a right to education. As little as £30 can pay for a child’s education, food and shelter for a month. Remember that one person can't change the world, but you can change the world for one person.
