Mount Snowdon - July · 16 July 2021 ·

Summit the highest mountain in Wales and take in the beautiful surroundings as you trek to beat dementia.

Story

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

I will be climbing/walking/crawling up mt. Snowden with a wonderful group of fellow non walkers. Were hoping to make a big chunk to give to the Alzheimers society, I would be endlessly grateful if you could spare a dime to help out. My Grandma was recently diagnosed with dementia, and has deteriorated so fast. I was shocked and a bit at a loss at what to do - this was all I could think of.

NOTE: This event has now been cancelled - but we will not so secretly still be going up Snowdon on the 18th of June as promised. A new official 13 mile trek on 8th August in the Lake District is replacing the Snowdon climb. All donations will still be going to The Altzheimers Society - and I will be walking both - but please let me know if you would like a refund!
