Hi everyone,

As many of you will know, we said goodbye to our wonderful Mary Manning on 22nd March, 2018. 

Mary passed away peacefully at the age of 87 in her bed at the Promenade Care Home in Southport, after many years of amazing care there from the brilliant staff. 

Alzheimer’s disease and dementia tragically had their hold on her for a number of years. Anybody who has experienced this with a loved one will know how utterly heartbreaking it is to watch this horrific disease take over their mind, their body and their life. 

But we (the Manning family and everyone who knew and loved her) know that there’s no way on earth she would want us to wallow in our grief. She would absolutely want us to pick ourselves up and remember all the good times (of which there are just too many to count!) – all the while drinking a G&T!

But before we raise a toast to Mary, we want to do something for an incredible charity that’s fighting to eradicate this horrendous disease forever. 

That’s why our first ‘Move for Mary’ fundraiser is to run the Natterjack Seaside 10k in Southport and raise money for Alzheimer’s Research.

We’re hoping to raise £500 and any donations, no matter how big or small, will be hugely appreciated!
