Story

On Monday 10th August from 9-10pm I will be representing Hillsborough in Anthony Gormley’s ‘One and Other’ exhibition on the empty plinth of Trafalgar Square. My exhibition will be entitled ‘Buttons and Blessings’ and will be raising awareness of the work of Depaul Ireland. The buttons of ‘Buttons and Blessings’ is the jewellery made from environmentally friendly and recycled buttons I will be distributing from the plinth, and the blessings are to be read aloud and thrown as paper aeroplanes to those in Trafalgar Square as an act of faith and hope.

I am encouraging friends and supporters to join me at Trafalgar Square, to bed down in their sleeping bags in honour of rough sleepers all over the UK and Ireland, asking for sponsorship and donations in aid of this humane and unique organisation. If you can not make it to London in support, please consider sponsoring me and making a donation to Depaul Ireland through my web page.

Depaul Ireland is an Irish homeless charity who worked with over 950 homeless people last year by helping them to meet their basic needs.  Working in both Dublin and Belfast, Depaul strives to welcome those who are most vulnerable and marginalised into their services and work with them to create hope, opportunity and a more positive future.

So please dig deep and donate now.
